We are a IRS 501c3 designated charitable foundation.
Regretfully, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year's fundraising golf tournament supporting the Vermont National Guard Charitable Foundation (VNGCF).
It has been a difficult year for so many people and in so many ways - those whose personal health or that of a loved one has been affected, financial impacts, and the emotional toll of the prolonged unknowns.
We are saddened to see the far reaching impacts of the pandemic; particularly for many of our sponsors and donors for our event who continue to be shuttered or have sadly closed their businesses permanently.
We have not set a formal date for the 17th Annual Charity Golf Tournament in 2022, but we are hopeful to carry out some alternative fundraising efforts for the VNGCF in the coming months, so please stay tuned for updates
We hope the you are all staying safe and well Thank you for your continued support.
In 2003, Warren, Vermont resident, Shawn Sullivan started a golf tournament to raise money to assist families of military deployed Vermonters. Over the last fifteen years, Shawn has been committed to organizing this event and the result has raised more than $213,000.00 for the Vermont National Guard Charitable Foundation. When our sister nonprofit, the November 11th Foundation, heard that the 2018 Golf Tournament would be its last, The Foundation felt it was critical that the event Shawn has established, continue to raise money for Vermont National Guard members and their families in need. This nonprofit has been established to continue this annual tournament and all of its proceeds continue supporting the Vermont National Guard Charitable Foundation.
The Vermont Troops and Families.org will be working collaboratively with the November 11th Foundation, so that together, we may help Vermont military members, veterans and their families in need.
"We at the November 11th Foundation are extremely excited and honored to be working with Vermont Troops and Families.org to provide services to Vermonters who answered the call of duty. It only seemed fitting to get involved, as our intentions are so aligned." David "Wilkie" Wilkins-Founder of the November 11th Foundation.
